Animation Block Party 2006

July 22-24, 2006 - over 1000 animation fans and filmmakers attended Animation Block Party's third annual summer festival. ABP 2006 opened at Rooftop Films on July 22nd. Galapagos Art Space hosted the second day of ABP summerfest on July 23, featuring a rare Animation Survivors Panel followed by sponsored open-bar from Autodesk, and 80 minutes of experimental films, music videos and student works. ABP 2006 closed its doors on July 24 with an evening at BAMCinematek that highlighted the best narrative shorts of the fest.

Animation Block Party opens on Friday July 22nd at Rooftop Films at Automotive High School, 50 Bedford Ave, between N. 12th and Lorimer, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. In the event of rain the show is indoors at the same location.

Animation Block Party concludes at Bam Cinematek at The Peter Jay Sharp Building, 30 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn, NY with some of the world's best narrative animated shorts with mix of professional, independent and top student films. The BAM screenings will be at 6:50 and 9:15 screening at BAM. The 6:50 screening will be preceded by a short introductory discussion with participating filmmakers.
