The Animation Block Party film festival returns with a live Halloween party in three major cities on October 31st! The three featured cities are New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. Picture This comedy will showcase their talents in all cities. Indie animation screener & zine, Malt Adult is hosting the Chicago edition.
The NYC leg of the Halloween series will take place at Union Hall located at 702 Union St, Brooklyn, NY 11215. Animation Block Halloween in LA is at Lyric Hyperion, located at 2106 Hyperion Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027. The Chicago show will run at the Color Club at 4146 N Elston Ave, Chicago, IL 60618.
Animation Block Party’s annual poster is designed by Robert Bohn and the Halloween launch bumper was animated via Sarah Schmidt and Ian Ballantyne of Sunshine Mall. The festival outro animation is by Adam Ansorge.
The Halloween festival will feature spooky animated shorts to celebrate the holiday!
Festival prizes include Dragonframe software, ABP merch, art supplies plus animation stipends for the winners of the Haunted Audience Award and Gifoween Student Film.
